Eco Dyeing
Eco dyeing includes the process of direct contact printing local plants and leaves. Eucalyptus are plentiful here, and their leaves produce consistantly good results. The colors range from green to brown to bright orange, depending on the species time of year. I also dip some scarves in tea made from simmered plant material, such as eucalyptus and redwood bark, leaves and onion skins. I also like to over-dye this method with indigo.
